Up one level- PATNAIKUNI, Indubhushan - Dr. — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 07-May-2008 19:56
- Indubhushan’s research interests include sustainability, high strength / performance concrete, fiber reinforced high performance concrete, sustainable construction methods, composite structures, engineering education, utilisation of building waste materials and farm animal waste in concrete, maintenance management of pavements and railways and passive solar energy.
- PEARS, Alan - Mr. — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 07-May-2008 19:56
- Since 1991, Alan has been co-director of Sustainable Solutions, an environmental consultancy, and has been involved in building energy and environmental rating and regulation, green building projects, educational software, green appliance development, industrial / business energy and environmental management, as well as policy analysis. He was awarded a Centenary Medal in 2003 for his contribution to climate change policy. Alan’s main focus is on emission mitigation actions, programs and policies.
- RODDICK, Felicity - Professor — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 07-May-2008 19:56
- Adaptation to climate change means that we need to use lower quality surface waters and alternative water supplies, including recycling wastewater and using stormwater. Felicity's research is aimed at improving water quality efficiently and effectively to produce fit-for-purpose water which is safe and aesthetically acceptable. Physical, chemical and biological processes are used singly and in combination to achieve this. She also conducts research into cleaner production, particularly with regard to water savings.
- SCHREIDER, Sergei - Dr. — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 07-May-2008 19:56
- Sergei specialises in "Catchment scale biophysical modelling for climate change impact assessment". He completed his PhD in climate change impact assessment and has supervised PhD students on climate change related topics. His research focuses on water allocation modelling in irrigated regions and water quality management. The models can be used to assess impacts to the areas modelled under different climate change scenarios.
- SMITH, Jodi-Anne - Dr. — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 07-May-2008 19:56
- Jodi-Anne uses scenario planning to help communities explore predicted CC impact and adaptation issues for their areas and plan accordingly. She also uses systems thinking to explore solutions to complex problems and has specialised in methods for obtaining behaviour change for sustainability. Jodi-Anne has a coordination role with the CCAP working with Program Managers Felicity Roddick and Peter Hayes.
- SMOOKER, Peter - Dr. — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 07-May-2008 19:56
- Peter has been looking at the impact climate change will have in relation to public health, in particular diseases from parasites, bacteria, increased allergen production due to altered species composition from urban plants.
- TANTER, Richard - Prof — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 20-Aug-2008 18:03
- Richard specialises in solving complex global problems, working on Indonesian and Australian responses for climate change adaptation in relation to health, trade, security, energy and urban infrastructure issues.
- THOMAS, Ian — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 07-May-2008 19:56
- Ian is setting up climate change short courses.
