- Katherine is involved in projects with communities at risk from CC related disasters. She focuses on children and helping their voices to be heard in development policy issues. She explores the future for children in these areas and works with them as effective communicators of disaster risk and initiators of disaster prevention activities.
- JONES, Lyndal - Ms. — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 28-Jul-2008 16:31
- Lyndal is an artist who uses art as a way of raising awareness about climate change and adaptation. She manages the Avoca Project which involves collaborations across a range of artworks with social and environmental scientists, architects and planners who are working to adapt 'The Swiss House in Avoca' in central Victoria to predicted climate changes and to improve it's sustainability all round.
- LOWE, Tom - Mr. — by Jodi-Anne M Smith — last modified 07-May-2008 19:56

His research has been concentrated upon decision-making for adaptation under conditions of environmental change. In particular he has investigated public perceptions of climate change and other environmental risks and the development of appropriate risk communication strategies that may encourage appropriate adaptation. Tom is also researching human security issues, his focus is upon social, cultural, demographic and environmental transition in urban areas and their influence upon community resilience to natural hazards. The Centre for Risk & Community Safety looks at community vulnerability and resilience to natural hazards such as wildfires, flooding, earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunami.
