What is "Peace One Day"?

Peace One Day was initiated by a proposal from peace activist and documentary filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, and has grown to a global simultaneous action on the day supported by the UN as the International Day of Peace.

This year, GPPAC (Global Partnership for Prevention of Armed Conflict), a global network of NGOs working towards conflict prevention on a worldwide scale which was started by a call from UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, is also participating, and actions for peace and ceasefire throughout the world are being planned.
